If Christ is truly in us, then generosity will be growing from us. True generosity flows from genuine love—a love that mirrors God’s heart and his sacrifice for us. In 2 Corinthians 8, Paul points us to the example of the Macedonian churches, who gave joyfully even during great struggles. We have been made rich in Christ because of His sacrifice, yet the earthly treasures we cling to most tightly are often the hardest to release.
